Meet Matthew Stoddart
Matthew Stoddart is the creative force behind Lexington Ice Sculptures, where he transforms blocks of ice into breathtaking works of art. Growing up in Lexington, Kentucky, Matthew was captivated by the artistry of his father, Chef Michael Stoddart, a renowned ice sculptor and culinary expert. By the age of 12, Matthew was wielding a chainsaw and carving his own path in the world of ice art. A year later, he entered his first competition—and won—solidifying his passion for the craft.
As the lead artist and owner of Lexington Ice Sculptures, Matthew has elevated the family business to new heights. His innovative designs and meticulous attention to detail have made the company a go-to source for custom ice sculptures across the state of Kentucky. From elegant wedding centerpieces to intricate corporate logos, Matthew’s creations add a touch of frozen elegance to any event.
Matthew’s artistry has not only made waves locally—it’s also taken him across the country and different parts of the world! With Lexington Ice Sculptures in tow, he has traveled far and wide to compete, collaborate, and carve on some of the biggest stages with his ice sculpting passion. From Alaska to Poland and everywhere in between, Matthew proudly represents the Lexington brand with every chisel and chainsaw cut. His dedication and creativity continue to put both his name and Kentucky’s on the national map for ice artistry. It is truly a God given talent.
